This week saw Class 7 using recyclable materials to create their Solar System inspired junk modelling designs! We had a great time making them and I think the children should be delighted with their efforts. It was great to see so many of our class helping each other and really releasing their creative sides. Next week we'll self and peer assess our models, thinking about how we can improve our DT work in the future.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped send in recyclable materials, it really is appreciated!

Hi all!
In maths this week, Class 7 have been concentrating on 3D shapes. We've been carrying out a lot of practical activities, making shapes using Polydron, straws and clay as well as creating the correct 3D shapes from a given net.
We also carried out a class investigation into the properties of different types of prisms. The class worked collaboratively to create different prisms; recording the number of faces, vertices and edges each prism had, then commented on the patterns in these numbers! The class had a great time doing it and impressed with their ability to identify different patterns in the numbers!
